Overview
Train driver Ilmari Perttula falls in love with Inkeri, the young wife of his elderly friend, railway guard Iikka Junkkari. Meanwhile, Martta, the daughter of a colleague, pursues Ilmari. Over time, Iikka becomes aware of the relationship between Inkeri and Ilmari.
