Love Under the Date-Tree

Overview

Shortly after his wife’s funeral, a merchant wanders around the Peloponnese with his friend, a maestro, whom he considers to be his rival in love. The existence of a date-tree will prove, according to a photograph in the hands of the merchant, his deceased wife’s infidelity.
