Abyssmal writing made me turn this movie off after half an hour. The dialogue between this Sissy Spacek rip-off and the kid she abducts was just horrendous. Then they threw in some weird creature shit which I guess is some manifestation of her grief? Fucking weird premise with just all around horrible narrative choices.

While this movie is in no way perfect, it does move from a haunting drama about grief into something supernatural and altogether more terrifying. Sometimes the pacing is off, but overall I felt that they had something going here and I don't begrudge them the effort. I think you might come to enjoy this one if you are thinking about grief and the creepy things that does to your mind.
